A New Direction for Ken Brown Racing
3.16.10
It was time for a change. After five years of competition in INEX Bandolero Racing, the Bandolero has been sold and a new car is in the shop. Despite great success with the #14 Bandolero in both Young Guns and Outlaws divisions, we have a new plan.
After seeing a 24 Hours of LeMons Race in Kershaw, SC, we were ready to move on up. Our hope was to find a car to fit the rules of LeMons racing, but we've found a car that can do even more! At the beginning of March we purchased a 1982 Toyota Celica, and have begun initial preparations to make it a full-on road racing car. As our plans have unfolded we've decided to make this car legal for NASA and possibly SCCA racing as well as local auto-crossing, and even LeMons racing. We'll keep you posted on the progress through the
2010 Race Reports page!
