Concord Motorsport Park: May 16th
The scheduled May 9th race made the 4th rainout of the season. Unfortunately, there will be no makeup date. Today, Andy is going for his 6th top 5 of the season. Everyone's excited to be back racing, after the torrential rain last weekend.
Unfortunately, Andy will race without practice, due to a fuel line problem that keeps the crew occupied until the heat race. The car is fixed, and Andy finishes in 2nd in the heat race, which is where he'll start in the feature.
Andy holds his position for the first half of the race, until a caution brings the #25 car within reach. Andy loses 2nd, but is in the perfect position when the 1st and 2nd place cars wreck. Andy sideswipes a wrecked car, but keeps driving. Andy has the lead, but the car is too damaged to continue, and Andy must settle for a 7th place finish. A terribly disappointing end to such a great race.
