Concord Motorsports Park: March 28th

As the the KBR trailer rolls through the CMP gates, there is an excitement in the air.  This week, Amanda and her mom, Eric, and Grandpa Brown will be joining us at the track, and everyone is excited for Andy to get back on track after last weeks wreck.  The weather is great, and the track is dry.  We're ready to race.

After finishing a successful practice session, Andy feels like the car is just right and ready to race.  Even after his brutal impact last week, he is ready to take on any challenge.  This week he will start in 4th in the heat race, and then finish in 3rd.

The feature race begins a little roughly with a few attempts at a clean start, but soon the racing gets under way.  Sticking to his guns for the entire 15 lap race, Andy retains 3rd place until teh last lap when he is caught up by the #97 car.  Andy is following right behind going into turn 3 when the 3rd place car loses it and spins up the track.  Andy sneaks by the car to earn 3rd place.  A spectacular finish to a great night!
