Concord Motorsports Park: April 6th

Over the past week, CMP has been ground down to make the racing surface smoother.  Tonight will be a whole new race for Andy.  They say the track is slick.

And it definately is.  In the first practice, Andy spins and backs the car into the wall.  No big deal.  Just cosmetic damage.  Andy gets back out and even finishes 3rd in his heat race.  Good enough for a 5th place starting position in the feature.

Andy starts the feature beautifully.  He makes his way to third place, when a faster car goes to pass him.  Andy gives the driver room, but the driver slides up the track.  Andy allows more room until he gets too high and spins in the marbles.  Luckily, Andy has lost nothing more than 3rd place.

Now a new chalenge arrises, it begins to rain.  After the restart, there is a big accident in turns 1 and 2.  Andy goes high again to avoid, but it is slippery on the high line and he spins just like he did in practice.  This time, however, the rear end is torn to shreads.  Andy has to retire from the race, and settle for an 11th place finish.
