The final race of the summer shootout is full of excitement! Many of our neighbors are in the grandstands tonight (see the Fan Pictures section of the website). Detroit Speed and Engineering owners, Kyle and Stacy, are in the pits with us, while Terri Church of Keller Williams and her family sit high above the track in the hospitality suite, and Husband's Helper's Chris Mulcahy, works as an official for the track. It's another hot and humid night with a big threat of a thunderstorm on the horizon. Kenny starts 10th in the heat race and finishes a respectable 7th place. He will start in the "lucky" 13th spot for the A-feature tonight with a full moon in the sky. Before the race begins, the crew takes the time to visit with our neighbors in the grandstands while Dad is in the pits visiting with stock car legend, Bobby Allison. Bobby signs Kenny's helmet while the crew is in the grandstands catching popsicles that are being thrown out to the crowds by the boxfull! The feature race finally starts at 10:30 pm. There are only 2 cautions in this race tonight. Kenny, inspired by Dale Earnhardt Sr., pulls an expert crossover move, which impresses the crowd. The #14 Twister Bandolero finishes the race in 10th place without any major damage and Kenny Brown is pleased with his accomplishments! Can we go home now?
