Today it is sunny, the air temperature is 100 degrees, and the track temperature is 155 degrees.  Kenny draws for his position in the heat race and ends up starting dead last.  Oh well, tomorrow the field will be inverted and Kenny will be on the pole (something to look forward to).  He needs to finish in 6^th place to go straight to the A feature, but, unfortunately hooks bumpers with another car.  He is the lunchmeat in a Bandolero sandwich and finishes last in the heat race!  The B feature race is more successful, and Kenny races to a 6^th place finish, which will put him in the A feature.  Kenny has some work to do, starting in the 24^th position, and he’s up to the challenge.  A major wreck separates him from the front of the pack.  The officials do not call the caution, which keeps Kenny separated for several laps.  Expert driving and a final caution will bring him to 11^th place when the checkered flag drops.  Kenny is 9^th in the points standings.
