It’s a hazy, 89-degree night.  The crew has set up the canopy and prepared the garage area, while Kenny and Dad go to the drivers’ meeting.  Kenny has the good fortune of drawing a second place start in the heat race.  Unfortunately, the luck stops here!  The car is “super tight” and Kenny spins on the first lap.  He will start in the 18^th position in the A-feature.  The luck goes from bad to worse when another car gets into Kenny on the 3^rd lap, spinning him.  Eventually, the leader does catch up to Kenny, which puts him a lap down.  The car is fast and Kenny has some of his best lap times as he chases after the leader.  It is a discouraging night.  Kenny finishes in the 20^th position and has lost three places in the points standings putting him in 9^th place.
