Tonight we have Amanda, Kenny's friend, with us. She is an avid Kenny Brown fan and a great help to the team (and it's also nice having another girl to keep mom company)! The night starts out with a successful heat race and Kenny will start 13th in the A-feature. There is something eerie about the number 13 but we continue on. Kenny works his way through two wrecks and, after two cautions, has worked his way up to 6th place. The second caution is a red flag when a car flips onto it's roof. Kenny turns off the engine to wait out the extended caution. While waiting, our sponsor, Chris Mulcahy, is able to talk to Kenny on the track, since he works for Lowes Motor Speedway. The caution is over and Kenny tries to start the car but the engine won't start. "Number 14, get into position", Kenny hears in his raceceiver. He starts to wave frantically out the window to get someone's attention. "Number 14, get into position", the officials repeat. Kenny is now waving out of the other window hoping to get help. The fans in the grandstands are waving back to Kenny! It finally becomes apparent that the Twister Bandolero is having a problem, and the track workers help to push him off the track. Back in the pits, scratching our heads, we are unable to diagnose the problem, but find out later that it was a disconnected solenoid wire. Oh my, 19th place, which drops Kenny to 12th in the points.
