Quaker Steak and Lube Summer Shootout: Race 6

Today there is no rain in sight, and the heat is oppressive, but that doesn't stop the KBR team from coming to race. Joining us tonight are Kenny's aunt, uncle, and two cousins as well as Amanda and her mom. After last week's impressive race, everyone's ready to see a good race.
Drawing a second place starting position in his qualifying race, Kenny quickly assumes the lead and holds it for the entire race. This earns Kenny his first pole of the Summer Shootout. The feature race begins well. The #14 Bandolero keeps the top spot for 3 laps until Kendall Sellers makes the pass for first. With little room to get into line, Kenny is shuffled back to 4th place. Eventually fading tires drop Kenny back to 5th place where he remains for the rest of the race. It's his 4th top 5 of the season, but the finish is bittersweet. Kenny is still hungry for a win.
