2009 LMS Summer Shootout Race 1

This season the Summer Shootout signals another change for Ken Brown Racing.  This year, we are proud to announce our partnership with Technique, Inc.  This year is also different because Andy will be driving the #14 KBR Technique, Inc. Bandolero instead of Kenny.  Unfortunately, the 2009 season didn't go off without a hitch.

Andy began his qualifying heat in last place, but by keeping his nose clean finished in 7th place.  Andy's finish in his qualifying heat earned him a mid-pack starting spot for the feature race, 14th.  This would have been a great place for Andy to start, but bad luck had other plans for Andy.  Right as the green flag waved, the right front tire decided to leave the #14 car.  After Andy pulled the car into the pits, it became evident that the right front spindle failed.  A last place finish isn't a good start to the year, but at least the only way is up!
