2009 LMS Summer Shootout Race 10

          The tenth and final race of the Lowe's Summer Shootout begins with dark skies as rain pounds the track for the first three hours of the night. After a lengthy delay, Andy begins his heat at 9:00pm and starts 5th. The slick track makes for a loose car and Andy slips back to 6th.

After starting 12th in the near-midnight feature, Andy finds his line and races the car hard for 20 laps and eventually makes his way into 7th. After a pass on the last lap and a broken 5th place car, Andy just gains 5th spot and is passing 4th place at the stripe, but the race ends before a move can be made. The first top five finish at the shootout for Andy is a relieving feeling, and the Ken Brown Racing Team can return home feeling triumphant with a top 5 car.
