2009 LMS Summer Shootout Race 7

          The 7th race of the Lowe's Summer Shootout starts off well, as the Technique Sponsors came out to see Andy race. After starting 11th in his heat, Andy races up to 5th with a throttle issue holding the car back. After working on the car further, Andy begins the race but falls back with a similar throttle issue, only this time the problem is worse. After driving twelve laps by shutting off the car off in the corners to slow down the wide open throttle, Andy gets loose when racing a competitor and the car heads full throttle into the wall. A broken chain and bent axle put Andy out for the night. After a hospital visit, a sprained shoulder puts Andy in a sling for at least a week but hopefully a speedy recovery will allow for a better race next week.
